Happy New Year!

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog.
Last year at this time I made a deal with myself to make a blog,
post a photo and some text every day for a year.
Wow! I did it!

I guess I will keep posting on the blog, but I don't think in the future I will get all upset if I miss a day posting. I originally thought the blog would be a good way for Kathleen and the grandchildren to keep track of what was going on around the old homestead, but I don't think Kathleen has time with three children, home schooling, etc., to read the blog. So, the blog became more a way for me to keep a journal of sorts of what was going on around here. I think I will keep that going.

diane: Thank you , Diane. Yes, I think I will use the blog as a journal. I have had enough exciting things happen in my life and I would be very happy to have a nice boring blog of boring simple stuff that happens around here. Sorry, but no fancy writing blog here. Now your blog is a blog the world could read and find fascinating. I love learning about Australia and all the fun stuff you do.

Well, I am glad that you are going to keep going. I decided that I love to blog but if I don't have time to do it, I won't sweat it. I blog for me and I am soo glad for the people I meet.

I love blogging for just for the journal effect of it. I've wished a zillion times I'd had it as a young mother and for places we went.

That's how mine has turned out too. I one time thought my mother would enjoy reading and seeing pictures but she no longer can stay occupied in front of the computer. And I guess my kids like the pictures though I am too "chatty" for them to read most of the posts.
