Curious Finds In The Boxes

Here are photos of two interesting finds I made that I'm keeping around for a bit until I think of some better uses for them. I could take up playing jacks again or buy or make a shirt that needs cuff links. Or?

I just love the little frogy set of jacks.

And then I found the round leather box with the following saying stamped in gold on the cover:

A Stud In Hand Is Worth Two Under The Bed
And "Made In England" stamped on the bottom of the box.

There are cuff links, what I think is a stick pin, and other items that I don't have a clue as to their function. Interesting though. And there are two ruby types that are probably cut glass. Would be nice if they were actually rubies.

My foot went goofy today which gave me a good excuse to sit and read most of the day. The weather is changing. I'm blaming my lethargic feelings on the weather. It is getting cold at night.

Yes, finding little things in boxes, bought, found, packed away, or just something from the back of Husband's "domain", can lead to some fun, and strange things...

I'm going through my stuff too and found a box full of "memories." I put it aside for now. Your finds are fun. Are you having a fall cleanup?--Inger

Well, those are some interesting finds. We are supposed to cool off a little bit finally.
