Kitchen Cabinet DIY - Painted And Things Put Away

The chickens are having watermelon for a treat and Morgan wants her treat. I let her in and she got her doggie treat. No watermelon.

Hard to believe, but I managed to get everything we use everyday put on the shelves. There are a few things that are just taking up space like the juicer in the cabinet over the fridge. And a few teapots and pitchers that I put on the shelves in hopes that since I can get at them easily I may actually use them.

I like the way the apricot color in the cabinets brightens the area and makes the kitchen a happy place. Well, at least for me. I like the color and it unites what is essentially one big room since one wall is painted this color and a top strip of another wall over a window.

This winter when the wood stove is going this color will be especially warming and welcoming. Now, it makes me smile.

I was hoping to do some more painting in the living room today, but I called it a day after I got the kitchen put back together. I really don't like how the cupboards over the fridge are so hard to reach.

Originally, I put the cabinets up so that my hoosier fits where the fridge is located. I was going to have refrigerator drawers and a counter where the microwave and cupboard are, but that didn't happen. Well, this works. Maybe someday I'll get the counter and drawers. The plan is to do some painting tomorrow.

You are such a hard-working woman and you certainly get rewarded after you are done with some great looking places. The kitchen looks really warm and friendly.
