Job 10 - Washing Windows

Job # 10 was out of reach.
So, I used a painting pole and stuck a cleaning mitt on the end.

Not the best solution, but I did get a layer of grime off the glass.
But there are consequences...
Every time I clean those windows
there are dead or stunned birds on the porch.

Dirty windows are much better for the birds
but dirty windows are so depressing.

These boxes and dish savers were stored in a closet.
I am getting all the family dish ware
ready to take to Idaho to give to Kathleen.
She is going to be able to put on some fancy dinners!

This is our poor, sad, deck.
But the good news is that the deck people are coming tomorrow!

So, this is going to be taken away
and soon we will have a new deck.

This blog was supposed to be called
Chickens On The Deck
but when I typed it my fingers typed Porch?
Loose connection between my fingers and brain.

Well, anyway, I'm thrilled to have a new deck/porch.

I don't think I am going to number anymore jobs.
It was fun, but it is becoming a bit silly.

2 eggs today
The chickens are not going to be happy
because while the people are working on the deck
the chickens are going to have to stay locked up.
I'll have to give them lots of treats.

You have a fabulous view from those windows! I am happy you are getting a new deck, I got a new porch a few years back after dealing with broken, rotted floorboards. What a thrill to be able to walk the porch floor with fear of falling through!

Oi. When someone replaced the porch on the farmhouse. They used regular boards instead of tongue and groove.
And somehow they ended up with a gap of an inch or two near the steps.

Be sure to bribe your chickens well!
I think porch is much warmer and more inviting than 'deck'.
Have a wonderful week, Callie!

It will be so nice to have a new deck. I need to think about that some time. I've always kept my hens too even though they might be old and past laying. :-)
