It's Still Snowing!

This morning.
The ladder stays there all year.

The chickens ganged up on me
when I took them warm water and checked to make
sure they had a lot of feed.
Noisy bunch!

There has been way over a foot of snow.
It snows, rains a bit, hails, and then snows again.
It's still snowing.

2 eggs today

Hope the snow clears soon. Good thing you brought the chickens warm water and food. We wonder what they sound like when they are all excited and there are so many of them. Congrats on your two eggs. As dogs, we are not allowed to eat them but our peeps eat them all the time:(

Wow!! Meanwhile it's going to be 77 F here today (normal temp is 40F!) I saw a butterfly yesterday on the last day of winter.

Why is the ladder there all year? What purpose does it serve?

euthymic: The hens do talk loudly... I'll have to make a video and post it again. Morgan eats eggs, but only if they are cooked.

rkbsana:
Yes. I do love to walk in the silent snowy forest.

Clint: Hope you get some rain soon.

V,L.:
I love the snow, but maybe not so much if there was 4 feet.

Linda G.:
Thank you, Linda.

Lana:
Thanks, Lana. I think the hens are pretty, too.

Becky:
Wow! Enjoy the warm weather.

Knatolee:
I haven't seen a butterfly around here for years. No flowers in the forest.

Linda:
The ladder is there so it is super easy to climb up to the stove pipe and clean out the pipe or shake loose any soot that is stopping the smoke from getting out. It is there all year because the ladder person thinks it's a good idea.
