Lazy December Day

Kristine went to Mary G's house
last week
and they made Christmas cookies.
I like the biscotti
but the cookies I love are the pizzelle.

They are really a very thin waffle...
but I think of them as a crunchy cookie.

There are lots of YouTube videos
about how to make pizzelle.

I'm putting a pizzelle iron
on my Christmas list.

Photo of Morgan,
my sister's feet
and her little dog, Bella.

Didn't do much today.
I tried to take a few photos.
This shot of the chickens was the best.

Kathleen went home today.
Miss her but her family will be very glad to have her home.

Did laundry.
I sewed a bit on Kristine's quilt.
Made some chicken soup.
Ate some candy.
Ate some pizzelle.
Ate some soup.
Locked up the chickens.
1 egg!
Took a nap.
Woke up.
Now I'm posting.

Waiting to get a phone call
from Kathleen.
I want to know she arrived home safely.

Those biscuits are similar to the ones Bill and Ben made a few weeks ago but they have a Swiss name. Chicken Soup!!! I hope you are not eating one of the girls.

OMG! My cousin just told me this week she wanted to make some pizelles. We are baking cookies today. I'm going to text her and ask her to bring the pizelle iron. Maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas too, I've never tasted one. Thank you for the video and reminder.
