Long drive.
Home late.
Tired.
Kristine had dinner and treats ready.


Kristine didn't let the chickens out today
because there were three raccoons trying to get into the shed
and into the chicken feed.

She chased them away with the car.
I hope they were frightened enough to stay away.

Good thing I didn't let the hens out before I left.

Darn predators! I've often wandered how many times I've listened to my inner voice ("Don't let the chickens out today") and saved a couple because of it!!
