Chicken Socks And Rakes

My leaf rake is broken.
I added the broken pieces to the rest of the fence decorations.

The metal rake with the round teeth is still useable
and adjustable even though the
plastic adjuster lever snapped in half.

I would like to get the largest and strongest leaf rake I can find.
I have tried the large plastic rakes and they break...
so do the metal ones.
3 acres of leaves are hard on a rake.

Kristine bought me some chicken socks a while back.
They are cute!
Thank you, Kristine!

5 eggs today.

I love your chicken socks but when I read the title I wondered what was the purpose of putting socks on chickens. I know very little about chickens on a porch.

I love that fence idea! I have a whole pile of handleless garden tools I have been trying to figure out what to do with. They would get stolen off of my fence, but the side of my shed would be great, or my chicken pen.

Love those socks! But, I have to admit, when I read the title, I was thinking it meant socks for chickens and I was really curious as to what those looked like and why they would need them, lol.

Ha! I thought it must be difficult to get sock onto a chicken. I bought and industrial rake at Lowe's, costly and well-worth it.

Hi Callie,
Just checking in to see if you're still the best blogger around. Yes, you are! Have another hen with egg peritonitis. My hatchery chicks are now three years old and having problems with their "egg makers". Next time I'm getting good stock from a breeder.
Hope all is well up there in the mountains.
