This year my little green garden is still green.
And I haven't watered it at all.
Since the garden is mostly in the shade during the day
everything has managed to stay fairly green.
Last year I enjoyed having lots of flowers.
But this year with the cut back on water usage
I will hopefully be able to have at least
one pot of flowers?
I will use reclaimed water from the house
to water the pot.
I'm going to have to get a bucket
and come up with a plan
to save water to use for watering plants.
I hope the ivy can make it through the summer
without needing watering?
Morgan is feeling better.

We lived in California during the 70's drought. It wasn't as bad, and we lived on base; but we still had to conserve.
If I had known then what I know now.
Forgive me if you know this.
We used tub water to flush the toilet. Leave the plug in after a bath or shower. Use a bucket. Dump the water from a height of one or two feet quickly, and it will flush the toilet.
Are you allowed to collect rain water without a fine? I realize it hasn't rained a lot, but if it rains at all, I'd position barrels wherever you know rain runs off the roof at.
Where does your wash water go? Is there any way you can use a larger size hose to exhaust the wash water into a barrel for reuse? Any dishwater or wash water can be used for plants or trees, but not for veggies. Or so I have read if I remember right!
Glean the internet. There are lots of pages dedicated to this sort of situation that you may be able to find inspiration from. We didn't have internet in the 70s. Just Rodale's Organic Gardening, and maybe Mother Earth News...
