Timber! The Sky Is Falling!

November Thankful Quote

I let my neighbour know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us as we go.
~ Robert Frost - Mending Wall

I'm grateful for good neighbors.

Kristine told me there was a great long tree limb that fell out by our front fence. I asked Morgan to sit next to the limb for size comparison. Those two limbs are really one limb that broke in two when it hit the ground. I do get a little worried when I'm under the trees and I hear creaking noises.

Riddle for today: It lives in a house, it can move in, out, up and down, is surrounded by a white picket fence and has red earth and sky. What am I?

Answer to yesterday's riddle: the i and s in invisible.

There are at least 4 chickens in this photo.
They are pretty good at hiding in plain sight.

I feel like I'm hiding in plain sight too. Grief and stress have a similar effect on me... I eat... stress eating? Well, I'm controlling myself this time around, but I really, really, want to sit down and stuff my face. Bags of potato chips and cookies would be very welcome. I even want to scurry around in the kitchen and make a bunch of biscuits. Biscuits sound good. I think I will make them, but I won't eat them all tonight. Maybe...

Hi Callie,
Stress has the opposite effect on me; when I'm stressed I stop eating. When happy, I eat too much. Guess I need to get a little more stressed out so I can stop this madness!

It is always so hard to lose someone we care about. I tend to be a stress eater to--I guess when I just don't know what to do to make things better.

I have a couple of big oak trees right by my house that make me nervous during ice storms. Blessings

There is a TREE near the street that has fallen over and is resting on the telephone lines. My husband called the electric company and told them about the tree and asked that they send someone out. It has been a MONTH and the tree is still lying on the lines... One of these days we are going to be out of electricity or have no telephone service. You'd think this would be an emergency but I guess the city thinks not...
