I don't know how you Americans manage two celebrations so close together.
My brother already has his lights up in Nevada. My dad used to decorate the day after Thanksgiving and take it down the day after New Year's.
I think you do it when you want to. ;-)
So many places people put lights on their houses or businesses, and just turn them on for the holidays.
